Okay, but why is it called a "Safety" Razor?

Shaving gives plenty of people red bumps, also known as "razor bumps". They appear when blades are blunt, dirty or simply poorly made. Our razor has a single blade with a special guard for safety! This Safety Razor means far fewer bumps appear, so you don't have to worry about inflammation or itching.

You may have to adjust your familiar "shaving technique" with this razor, a small effort for a great result. Using it correctly is essential! Here are a few instructions:

1. Start with the guard perpendicular to your skin. The handle of your Safety Razor is horizontal.

2. Then place the razor at an angle of 30°.

3. Glide slowly with short strokes to remove hair.

Careful!

• Don't make the angle larger than 30°, as that increases the chance of irritation. So when the handle is almost vertical, the angle is already slightly too large.

• Don't press your Safety Razor onto your skin, the blade does the work. If you do, you're more likely to cut yourself.

• According to our partners, the blade should be replaced every 6 shaves. That said, many users say it's still sharp and can be used optimally. That gives you a guideline, but you can of course still make the call yourself.

How do you replace the blade of the Safety Razor?

By turning the handle, you can loosen the top piece and the guard. That way you remove the blade and replace it easily. Afterwards, you place the guard back on top of the blade and top piece and tighten everything again with the handle. Easy peasy!
