Dry skin on your face? 5 tips that really help
Dry skin is not “just a few flakes”. It is often a combination of fewer skin lipids, more moisture loss and a barrier that reacts more easily. The goal is not to apply more, but to be smarter: cleanse gently, hydrate quickly, support the barrier and reduce triggers.

Tip 1: Cleanse less aggressively
Use lukewarm water, keep your cleansing short and avoid scrubbing. A cleanser that is too harsh can leave your skin even drier and more sensitive. The WONDR cleansing cream, on the other hand, adds a little extra nourishment. <Check out the WONDR cleanser>
Tip 2: Hydrate straight after washing
Apply moisturiser as soon as possible after cleansing. This helps lock in moisture and shortens that “tight” moment. <Shop the moisturisers>
Tip 3: Choose ingredients that hold moisture and support the barrier
Look for combinations of humectants and barrier-supporting lipids. In studies, ceramides are often linked to improved hydration and barrier parameters in dry or eczema-prone skin.
Tip 4: Reduce environmental stress
Long, hot showers and dry indoor air or air conditioning make it worse. Showering for less time, using lukewarm water and adding more humidity at home may be boring tips, but they work.
Tip 5: SPF, even when it’s cold
UV remains a stressor for your skin, even outside summer. Daily protection is one of the most consistent ways to limit photoageing and sun-related irritation.
